Kids Inc

A Brief History

Kids Inc is a trading entity of Heike David S'celo (PTY) Ltd, and has been Labour Broking the staff at one of the premier Corporate Crèches in South Africa. When the contract was initiated, the management team at Dynamic Business Solutions felt that they should investigate the feasibility and advantages of providing staff in the corporate environment with a safe and dynamic learning and care facility at the workplace.

With our knowledge in the field of Labour Law, BEE, and Education, and the management of Crèches we embarked on an investigation to see what the situation in South Africa and the world is. It was found that there is a definite need to make available, to the modern working person, facilities where their children are receiving premium care and education that is both close to them, and they are able to feel confident enough to know that their children are being cared for in an institution close to the work place or in the work place .

With this in mind, Dynamic Business Solutions decided that there is a definite need in the corporate environment to offer such a service to all so as to create a better working atmosphere in the busy world of the corporate company. A full team was thus put together to ensure that these facilities could be provided to all companies.

Our services at a glance

As part of the service, we have broken down the set-up of Crèches into three phases:

  1. Feasibility Study: A tailor made feasibility study is done within your company to assess whether such a facility will be viable for you.
  2. Set-up of your crèche: This includes project managing the conversion of allocated space into an area that complies with all Municipal Regulations, and the educational programme.
  3. Day-to-day Running: The final phase includes the labour broking of all staff required in the running of your crèche, as well as the regular visits by the senior consultant, as well as regular reports to parents and your company on the progress.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Why a crèche?
  2. What is the employee benefit?
  3. What is the employer benefit?

These questions can be answered by being aware of what is happening in South Africa currently. The Employment Equity Act requires more and more females to be employed in all companies. There has further been a continuous rise in the number of divorces in South Africa , and increase in the number of single parents in the work force. Family dynamics are changing and we see more and more single dads raising small children. All of the above would also be true for these single dads . These three situations have created certain unique situations within the South African work force, where parents have to find places they can trust to leave their children during working hours, and these places tend to be closer to home more often than closer to the workplace. As any working parent knows, that crèches are very strict on collecting kids at certain times, as well as the time companies lose when sick children need to be collected taken to the doctor or hospital, this can easily take a day out of your employees time.

Further, there is an amount of "Brain Drain" happening in the workforce, as woman are being educated and trained, but in a lot of companies, as soon as they are having children, opt to stay home, as they have no place secure and trusted they want to leave their children during the day, and companies are losing vast amounts by recruiting and training replacement personnel.

We are aiming to create an environment where parents can be assured and at peace that their children are close enough at hand, that if they do need to check on them, that no time is lost to the company. Parents can be more relaxed in the workplace knowing their children are in capable hands, being cared for, educated and stimulated.

So if you want to create a harmonious working place for your employees, ensure that your staff turnover drops, productivity goes up because your parents have peace of mind since their children are happy, and happy children make happy parents.
